Memorial Day

Although Memorial Day serves as a dedicated day to reflect on the loss of service members, let us not forget to recognize and remember our departed Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen throughout the year.  As an Army veteran, I have lost fellow Soldiers and West Point Classmates in service to Country, and although the grief for them subsides over time, the memories of them do not fade.  I was happy to accompany the Friends of Belmont Heights Memorial Park Cemetery and American Legion Post 111 for their Memorial Day services to focus on the those who gave everything to ensure our freedom.
